  • What exactly is CrossFit?

    CrossFit is a fitness program that will change your life. By it’s definition, CrossFit uses “constantly varied, functional movement performed at a relative high intensity.”

    As a truly functional program, the difficulty level of our daily workouts is designed to be “scaled” (increased or decreased) depending upon the abilities of the individual.  This makes CrossFit workouts doable by anyone, so dont worry if you see that a workout  includes something that you cannot accomplish yet, your coaches will scale that movement so you can.

    Daily workouts could include things such as core conditioning, rowing, sprinting, gymnastics, lifting, etc. And all our workouts are designed to improve overall flexibility, strength, speed, endurance, and agility.

  • I’m not in very good shape… can I do CrossFit?

    The very first thing you will discover is that CrossFit does not discriminate.

    Whether you are young at heart, or have just completed your 50th marathon, or are recovering from injury or healing a broken heart, whether walking the dog is the only exercise you’ve had in years, or you’re someone training for the Iditarod…We will help you achieve your fitness goals.

    One of the things that makes CrossFit so unique is our community of people from literally every walk of life: stay-at-home parents, elite athletes, students, CEOs, members of the armed services, firefighters, you name it. CrossFit bodies – our bodies – come in every imaginable size, shape and age; and yet, our workouts every day are designed for anyone to do them.

    Yes, anyone.

    Including YOU.

  • What will my first time in your gym be like?

    Your first time in, will be all about YOU; no sweat required!

    One of our awesome coaches will give you a quick tour of the facilities to give you a little idea of what we’re about.  Then we’ll sit down and chat.

    Tell us about yourself.  What are your goals?

    Tell us what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past.  Tell us what about excites you most; what do you want to do that you have never done before?

    Taking all that into consideration, your coach will help you come up with a plan to help you reach your goals that will be both challenging and fun.

    More than likely, you’ll set up a time to meet for some one-on-one coaching where you’ll establish some baseline statistics and learn the fundamentals of CrossFit.  After that, you’ll have the choice of continuing with One-onOne Personal Training or moving on to our Group Personal Training/CrossFit class membership.   The choice is yours!


  • How often do you recommend I come to the gym?

    If you’re just starting up, we recommend coming three days/week for your first 30 days.

    BE CONSISTENT:  Just showing up is crucial to building healthy habits.  After that month you’ll want to , build to four days a week, then five.  Go ahead. The future is yours!

    Whether, you are coming three or five days per week, we recommend that your days off be focused on the positive healing and recovery of your body.  Despite the short workouts, the CrossFit protocol is potent medicine and your body’s recovery is a vital part of that protocol.

  • Why is your gym more expensive than other gyms?

    We know you may have a lot of choices on where to workout. What’s best… A treadmill at home?  A personal trainer?  That place you can go to “anytime” for just pennies a day?

    We’d actually encourage you to ask a yourself a different question. What are my goals?

    Would personalized attention help you reach them?  How about trained, professional coaches?

    Does being held accountable for your workouts get you closer to your goals?  Will working out with a group of like-minded people who cheer on your successes raise that bar for you?

    If the answer to any of the above is “yes,” then we strongly suggest that you come check us out!

  • What’s your drop-in policy?

    We love nothing more than having visitors from other boxes come “throw down” with us!
    If you are just passing through, we charge a drop in fee of $20 per day.

    It’d be great if you’d plan on arriving 15 minutes before scheduled class time so we can provide you with a waiver to sign and introduce you to our box. You can find our class schedule Here.  You can sign up to drop in to any class right Here.

    One of the best things about CrossFit is that no two boxes are the same:  That being said, you may find that we do things a little differently than your “box back home.” We hope that you enjoy the change in scenery, our unique Vermont CrossFit culture, our humor and our grit!  We love to have fun and things are generally PG-rated around here so, if anything makes you less-than comfortable, please, do not hesitate to let us know.

  • I just relocated/looking for a new gym and I’d like to check you out prior to joining.
